Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

The Boi-1da-produced track is the lead single off ANTI, which has already been certified platinum.
In the video's first-half, directed by X, Rihanna and her co-star Drake tear up the dance floor inside a Caribbean restaurant.
RiRi and Drake can be seen getting more intimate in the club's VIP section, in the video's second-half, which was directed by Tim Erem.
Shortly after dropping the video, “Work” rose to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The track becomes Rihanna’s 14th single to top the chart, pushing her past Michael Jackson for the third most No. 1s of all-time.
This isn't the first time the pop megastars have teamed up, RiRi and Drake appeared together on Drizzy’s “Take Care” in 2011 and in RiRi’s 2010 jam “What’s My Name?”
