Your support makes all the difference.Producer Timbaland launched his brand of free weekly music giveaways, dubbed Timbaland Thursdays, on January 13 with a new single featuring Missy Elliott. Veteran rapper Snoop Dogg has also joined the trend with Puff Puff Pass Tuesdays, which began last week.
Kanye West whetted his fans' appetite for free music with his G.O.O.D. Fridays, and hip-hop producer Swizz Beatz also followed suit with Monster Mondays. Now Timbaland has kicked off his series with the release of "Take Ur Clothes Off," which features rapper Missy Elliott.
Snoop Dogg plans to drop a new song every week via his Facebook and Twitter page until the release of his upcoming album, Doggumentary, which is slated for a March release. The first song is titled "El Lay" and features hip hop artist Marty James in a track produced by 22-year-old music producer Scoop DeVille. According to Snoop, the track is a tribute to the upcoming NBA All Star Weekend being held in Los Angeles in February.
Two-time Grammy Award winner Timbaland has collaborated with such as artists as Justin Timberlake, Nelly Furtado, Madonna, and Jay-Z. His 2007 solo studio album Shock Value topped album charts in four countries and his second volume, 2009's Shock Value II, received 16 platinum certifications. He plans to release the third installment, Shock Value III, in 2011.
Snoop Dogg, legendary West Coast gangsta rapper, has produced 10 studio albums, has appeared in dozens of films, and recently collaborated with US pop star Katy Perry on her hit single "California Gurls."
