From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Ladies and Gentlemen...The Rolling Stones, a concert film featuring footage of the band's summer 1972 Exile on Main St. tour, is set to be screened worldwide, according to an August 13 announcement. The film will make its way to more than 800 movie theaters before its November release on DVD.

The footage for Ladies and Gentlemen, which had a limited release in 1974, was captured at four shows in Fort Worth and Houston, Texas on the band's 1972 North American tour promoting Exile. Featured songs include "Tumbling Dice," "Brown Sugar," "You Can't Always Get What You Want," and "Jumpin' Jack Flash."

In addition to the concert footage, the film screenings will also feature a recent interview with Mick Jagger filmed at London's Dorchester Hotel.

The film is set to be shown on 800 screens worldwide, of which more than 500 are in the US. All of the screenings will take place within the month of September, with most scheduled for September 16.
