Album: Wavves, King of the Beach (Bella Union)

This month, Buzzcocks play the Vintage at Goodwood festival, and tour the UK through autumn. Their Singles Going Steady is still available for less than £5.

I mention this so that none of you do anything silly like buy a CD or attend a concert by Wavves, a bunch of 'Cocks (via Soup Dragons) impersonators from San Diego who, along with the execrable Drums, prove that the US has finally caught up with twee C86-style schmindie jangle. And they have the nerve to sample "Da Doo Ron Ron", for which they should drowwn.
