Album: Phronesis, Walking Dark (Edition)
The title refers to a series of concerts played in darkness, in tribute to bassist Jasper Hoiby's sightless sister.
It's a studio recording from Copenhagen, unlike the previous, breakthrough album Alive, and the effect is less immediate. The same trademark unison melody-lines played by Hoiby and pianist Ivo Neame thrum along, with drummer Anton Eger rattling away in the background, but there's more subtlety in the approach, and more of Neame, who sounds great.
