You'd have to say this New York duo, singer Lizzy Plapinger and producer Max Hershenow, have given a fair summation of their debut album with that title, such is both the familiarity and enchantment of the music within.
Florence and the Machine Sturm und Drang meets Lana Del Rey electro-pop noir, basically, with some Twilight goth-lite angst thrown in for good measure. Each song sounds much like the last but with hooks like this, who needs prizes for subtlety?
