Fronted by Glaswegian Tamara Schlesinger, 6 Day Riot are a band for anyone who won't run a mile at the thought of daisy chains, hair-braiding and folk festivals.

Whatever reaction such words evoke, you can, at the very least, tell that Schlesinger and her band had fun making this record. It's folk music on happy pills and it's difficult not to go with the flow. All airy vocals meets gypsy beats, 6 Day Riot sound like nothing less than Joanna Newsom or CocoRosie with Gogol Bordello backing. Lush.
