Nothing unveil their video for 'ACD' from new album Tired of Tomorrow - premiere
'These odd, home-made computer animations doing strange things give you an uneasy feeling, but also one of pure evil and chaos. I’m not sure what's so appealing about them'
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Nothing have gone through injuries, violence, prison, debt and a label collapse so it's a wonder how they've managed to put out one album, let alone two, but they have and each one is pretty damn good.
I cottoned onto this band fairly late in the game, on the release of their incredible single "Vertigo Flowers" off new record Tired of Tomorrow.
Today The Independent is premiering the video for "ACD" ("Abcessive Compulsive Disorder") - take a look and let us know what you think.

Q&A with Nothing frontman Domenic Palermo
What have you been listening to recently?
Just Tony Molina at the moment. He calls me at random times almost every day when he's drunk and we talk about how life is awful. He also sent me his new record too. It's really amazing. Ian Brown’s solo stuff too.
The video for ACD is intense – who came up with the concept and how do you feel it works with the song?
Well I have a psychopath friend from Modesto, CA named Nick. He sends me rap songs and movie scripts he’s created, but recently mentioned he was dabbling around in computer graphics.
I have been watching a lot of dank shit in the darkest parts of the Internet. Much of this is your run of the mill, awful footage that makes you remember how frail our human bodies are, but some are these odd, home-made computer animations doing strange things that give you an uneasy feeling, but also one of pure evil and chaos. I’m not sure what's so appealing about them, but it can go on for hours at a time, especially having enablers like Brandon in the band.
Anyway, I tried to explain this to Nick and basically just let him run with it, with only one real request which was to have it nod to Dire Straits’ "Money For Nothing" video.
What are your plans for summer 2016?
Quit the band. Get my girlfriend pregnant 5 or 9 times, move to the Midwest, get a job at a rest stop Arby's, bring them all home roast beef sandwiches, and tell them to continue poisoning the earth. OR, some gigs, sweat, driving across the US over and over again until I finally die.

What was the first gig you ever played, and what’s been the best so far?
I played in a punk band when I was 15 and we played a show in this tiny slab of needle infested grass underneath the el train in Juniata, an awful crime ridden neighbourhood in North Philadelphia. They called it hooker park because... Yeah. I also lost my virginity that day to a skinhead girl in an alley (sorry for bringing it up cc). That's probably my favourite gig too.
