From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

Initially, it was suggested that Posh Spice - also known as Victoria Beckham - was not keen to return, however, a further dent in plans has arrived via reports that Sporty Spice - Mel C (real name Melanie Chisolm) also won't be taking to the stage alongside former bandmates Mel B, Emma Bunton and Geri Halliwell.
According to Life & Style Magazine, the remainder of the group aren't merely just going ahead without them but plan to replace the duo.
An unnamed source has stated: “It wasn’t a surprise that Victoria would decline the tour, but the girls really hit the roof when Mel C ditched too.
“The girls are going to be making a formal announcement about tryouts for their spots in the next few weeks. Posh and Sporty can be replaced.”
The Spice Girls last reunited for a brief performance at the closing ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games. Their 2007-2008 reunion tour, The Return of the Spice Girls, included a 17-night run of shows at London's O2 Arena.
2016 marks 20 years since the release of their debut single "Wannabe."
