From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. In the days following the release of A Moon Shaped Pool, Radiohead has remained characteristically remote.

No further tour dates or music videos have been released - the only announcement related to the band is how the creators of Trumpton have claimed their “Burn the Witch” video breaches copyright laws.

However, over the course of three days, the band’s official social media accounts have started posting mysterious photos online, widely thought to be alternate album artworks.

UPDATE: For the fifth and sixth day running, the band has shared mysterious images. Fans are still questioning what Radiohead are up to, but as noted in the second's caption: 'something happened'.

One post in particular, the latest as of writing, has caused quite a stir among fans. In it, a black and white street is seen with an orb of light at the end.

This also marks the first time one of the photos has been accompanied by a caption (it reads ‘you are lost’).

Notably, Radiohead’s website now redirects people to a page dedicated to the same image with the same caption, leading many to believe something new may be on the way.

A Moon Shaped Pool was released on the 8 May and is made up primarily of songs from Radiohead’s back catalogue.

The album’s closer, “True Love Waits”, took a particularly long time to be officially recorded, having been first played by the band in 1995 when they were touring The Bends.
