Quentin Tarantino has curated a Spotify playlist of all his favourite songs from Kill Bill, Reservoir Dogs, The Hateful Eight, Pulp Fiction and more.

The veteran director is known as much for his soundtracks almost as much as for the films themselves.

The playlist includes classics such as “Bang Bang”, performed by Nancy Sinatra, “Stuck in the Middle with You”, “Son of a Preacher Man” and Chuck Berry’s “You Never Can Tell”.

Tarantino provides a brief intro to the playlist, commenting: “Sit back, relax and move into the soundscape of a Quentin Tarantino movie. You may never wanna leave.”

In a podcast for the streaming service, he also goes into detail as to why he chose the songs he did for his latest film, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, which is released in the UK on 16 August. Check out the playlist here.

He recently told GQ Australia that he is reaching “the end of the road” for feature films, and that he is considering delving more into writing books and for theatre.

“I think when it comes to theatrical movies, I've come to the end of the road,” he said.

“I see myself writing books and starting to write theatre, so I'll still be creative. I just think I've given all I have to give to movies.”
