Kasabian accidentally call Londoners 'c**ts'
A production error led to the message being projected behind the band during a performance in Glasgow

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

The message “London is full of c**ts” was projected onto a screen behind them during a sold-out show at Glasgow’s SSE Hydro.
Scrawled upon a backdrop featuring a back door the offensive term appeared during a performance of “Clouds”.
However, the band said they were as surprised as the audience to see the word behind them – and that it had appeared independently of them.
Guitarist Serge Pizzorno told NME: “We were as shocked as anyone else. The production team f**ked up.
"There were supposed to be photos of mundane objects in that section but instead I turned around in the middle of "Clouds" and couldn't believe my eyes.
“We were all shocked and certainly didn't mean to offend anyone.”
He added that he hoped that the audience still enjoyed the gig, which kicked off Kasabian’s UK arena tour.
In any case, the incident will ensure there’s no danger of the band being labelled “boring”.
Last month Kasabian told The Big Issue that some musicians “don't deserve to be doing this job” because they would rather eat “chicken and broccoli” than raid the bar for booze.
Guitarist Serge Pizzorno said: “I won't expose any bands but there's nothing more depressing than seeing a band come off stage at a festival, go backstage and just flip their laptop open.
”I'm thinking, 'Are you not gonna have a drink now? Cause some carnage?”.
