Paul McCartney appears on Carpool Karaoke- trailer

James Corden has ensnared his biggest star yet for Carpool Karaoke.

Music icon Paul McCartney joined the Late Late Show host in Liverpool for a forthcoming edition which will see them tear through classic Beatles hits including, as one would hope, “Drive My Car.”

The first look trailer for the segment sees Corden requesting McCartney's assistance by reciting the lyrics to “Help!” telling the singer: “I need somebody, not just anybody.”

In a change of format, it's McCartney who's behind the steering wheel leaving Corden to sit in the passenger seat clearly in awe that he's in the company of the 18-time Grammy Award-winner who gives the British presenter a tour of his hometown.

The segment comes as part of a series of broadcasts filmed in London which will also see Corden joined by guests including Chris Pratt, JJ Abrams, Cate Blanchett, Orlando Bloom and Foo Fighters.

Past figures to have joined Corden for Carpool Karaoke include Jennifer Lopez, Britney Spears, Stevie Wonder and Michelle Obama.
