Ariana Grande is set to release her first new music since the Manchester terror attack, it has been reported.

The pop star revealed she was working on new material at the end of last year, and Variety now reports that she will release the first single from her new album - which is rumoured to feature collaborations with the likes of Pharrell, Max Martin and Savan Kotecha - on 27 April.

The album is reportedly deeply personal and shaped by her experiences over the past two years. It will be her first full-length release since 2016's Dangerous Woman.

Those experiences include the tragedy where 22 people were killed and around 500 more were injured after a suicide bomber detonated a device in the foyer of Manchester Arena at the end of an Ariana Grande concert on 22 May.

Just a few weeks later, Grande rallied dozens of high profile supporters to help organise the One Love Manchester benefit concert, which raised money for victims and their families, and raised the spirits of the city. Performers included Grande herself, plus Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Niall Horan, Little Mix, Katy Perry, Take That, Pharrell, Robbie Williams and Liam Gallagher. The concert raised more than $13m.

Grande recently appeared at the March For Our Lives pro-gun-control rally in Washington DC last month where she performed her song "Be Alright", as well as a September benefit concert in Charlottesville, Virginia.

She told the March For Our Lives crowd: "This is for those brilliant students here today that are leading this march and for everybody participating today. Thank you so much for fighting for change and for love and safety and for our future."
