Emotions range from excited to perplexed

Fans are experiencing a variety of emotions over the news of a new Arctic Monkeys record - while many are obviously excited, the track titles are one thing to come in for criticism.

The British rock group announced on Thursday they would be releasing their first album in five years with Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino,

The band revealed the news alongside a trailer featuring a snippet of a new song.

However, the album's bizarrely named track list of 11 songs and the pure love for the band sparked a lot of criticism on social media.

Song titles like "The World’s First Ever Monster Truck Front Flip" and "The Ultracheese" are such examples.

One individual commented on how Arctic Monkeys are not good at naming albums or themselves.

Others mocked the band's randomness for titling their songs.

One Twitter user wrote that the track list "looks like a transcript of Chris Pratt improvising former MouseRat band names."

Another user said, "Arctic Monkeys deada** wrote a song called...the ultracheese."

One individual was trying to decipher the meaning of the album behind its obscure album title.

Their strange song titles aside, other users couldn't contain their excitement for a new Arctic Monkeys record.

One user tweeted, "ARCTIC MONKEYS ARE BACK MY DEPRESSION IS CURED."

Another user said Marc Jacobs' proposal and a new Arctic Monkeys record were "good omens for the future."

One fan even wrote, "I'm not allowed to die until May 11, but even then the new Arctic Monkeys album will revive me."

To say there are a lot of feelings about Arctic Monkeys' new record is an understatement.

Fans won't have to wait too long though: the record is due May 11.
