50 Cent says Oprah Winfrey only 'goes after black men' who have been accused of sexual assault

Rapper said Winfrey doesn't target white men who have had similar accusations

50 Cent has said that Oprah Winfrey only criticises black male stars at the centre of sexual assault allegations and ignores the white people who have been accused.

Following the news that Winfrey was to produce a #MeToo documentary about the allegations against record executive Russell Simmons, the rapper questioned her intentions on Instagram.

According to a press release, the currently untitled film is said to be “a profound examination of race, gender, class and intersectionality, and the toll assaults take on their victims and society at large”.

“I don’t understand why Oprah is going after black men,” 50 Cent wrote, alongside a photo of both Winfrey and Simmons..

“No Harvey Weinstein, no Epstein, just Michael Jackson and Russell Simmons, this s*** is sad, “he added, continuing: “These documentaries are publicly convicting their targets, it makes them guilty till proven innocent.”

Earlier this year, Winfrey participated in an interview with Wade Robson and James Safechuck following the broadcast of Lifetime documentary Leaving Neverland, in which the pair detailed claims of alleged abuse at the hands of Jackson when they were children.

In reference to Gale King’s televised interview with R Kelly, he added: “Gale hit [him] with the death blow documentary.”

50 Cent and Winfrey have had a long-standing feud after the latter reportedly criticised his lyrics.
