Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference. The music video for OK Go's version of "The Muppet Show Theme Song" from the Muppet tribute album The Green Album was released online August 23, the same day as the recording.
The video revisits the band's breakout music video for "Here It Goes Again" with the trademark treadmills gone wild, as well as OK Go's other videos, including the Rube Goldberg maze of "This Too Shall Pass" and the most recent, "All Is Not Lost," with dance troupe Pilobolus.
Throughout the video the Muppets - including Kermit, Miss Piggy, Gonzo, Animal, The Swedish Chef, Fozzie Bear and more - make guest appearances and sing along, even performing with OK Go as puppets.
To quote the song lyrics, it is: "Most sensational, inspirational, celebrational, Muppetational."
The album also features Muppet songs covered by Weezer, Fray and My Morning Jacket.
The new movie The Muppets, starring Amy Adams and Jason Segel, releases November 23 and features Katy Perry, Ricky Gervais, Jack Black, Zach Galifianakis and more.
