'This band is just going to want to terrorise and make very loud noises'

This election is still a dead heat, according to most polls. In a fight with such wafer-thin margins, we need reporters on the ground talking to the people Trump and Harris are courting. Your support allows us to keep sending journalists to the story.

Drums: Prince
Ok, I'm going to go for it. Prince is rhythm. I've never heard him play drums, but we all know he'd have it. He's a busy man, so the only way he'd be interested is if he was on the kit.
Guitar: Tom Morello
No one else can make a guitar sound not like a guitar, like Tom Morello can. He's a busy man too, but Prince is on drums. He ain't passing this up.
Bass: Jeremy Kelshaw
Yep, I went there. Look at the talent. I'm playing bass. I'll be the weakest link. I'm cool with that.
Vocals: Cedric Bixler-Zavala
I just realised that this band is going to want to terrorise and make very loud noises. Cedric, frontman of The Mars Volta and At the Drive-In, terrorises the mic like no one I've seen before. He'll be a perfect fit.
Vibe: PJ Harvey
Not what I was expecting either. She can play or do whatever she wants, I don't mind: she's PJ Harvey. But she's in so she can hang around – and if things ever got too normal, she'd turn it all on its head.
Cloud Control's album, 'Dream Cave', is out on 16 September on Infectious. They start a UK tour on 23 September
