Letter: Dangers of beef

Sir: Could we once and for all do away with this nonsense of the French banning British beef to protect their own farmers?

The French market is open to beef from all other EU countries. That is hardly protectionism.

And does anyone really reckon the French are going to want to eat the stuff once it gets over?
