Jennifer Lawrence has spoken about Harvey Weinstein once more, saying she “wanted to kill him” after dozens of women publicly came forward with sexual harassment allegations against him.

Appearing on 60 Minutes, the actor was asked about Weinstein, whom she worked with on the Oscar-winning Silver Linings Playbook. While saying the disgraced producer was “never inappropriate” with her, Lawrence said the accusations were “criminal and deplorable.”

“When it came out and I heard about it, I wanted to kill him,” she said, according to The Hollywood Reporter. “The way he destroyed so many women’s lives. I want to see him in jail.”

Lawrence was recently cited in a legal defence issued by Weinstein, to which she responded: “Harvey Weinstein and his company are continuing to do what they have always done which is to take things out of context and use them for their own benefit.

“This is what predators do, and it must stop.”

Weinstein continues to deny the allegations made against him, and has since apologised for using Lawrence — as well as Oscar-winner Meryl Streep — in the legal defence.

A statement reads: “Mr. Weinstein has been informed that his civil counsel responded in court to a class action lawsuit which improperly sought to include all actresses who had previously worked with Mr. Weinstein, even where those actresses have made no claim of wrongdoing.”
