From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. It looks like the long-gestating Zoolander sequel has finally got the go-ahead, with the Mayor of Rome Ignazio Marino announcing that Zoolander 2 will shoot for 12 weeks in around Cinecitta Studios later this spring.

Marino said he had met with Ben Stiller, who will reprise his role of dim-witted male model Derek Zoolander.

The location news suggest Derek will be heading to international fashion weeks - Milan would have been a more obvious choice, though it's still possible Rome could be doubling for it.

Justin Theroux will co-write and direct, according to ComingSoon, while Will Ferrell and Owen Wilson are 'all-but-confirmed' to return as the nefarious Mugatu and hippe model Hansel.

Penelope Cruz, Jonah Hill and Cara Delevigne have all previously been rumoured to be in talks for the film.

Zoolander, which featured a cameo from David Bowie, only grossed $60 million at the box office worldwide, but became a favourite on DVD.

There are no end to sequels and reboots long after the fact being announced lately, with new Ghostbusters, Jurassic Park and Star Wars films on the way.
