Kristen Stewart has revealed that she finds the idea of a Twilight reboot "fascinating", despite claiming to be over the whole thing herself.

The 25-year-old, known for playing the lead as Bella Swan in the $3.3 billion-grossing franchise from 2008 through to 2012, was asked how she felt about the possibility.

"Are they saying that they have to redo them? Like, we have to do them again?" she answered Uproxx, before discussing the potential with a new cast, further down the line.

"If other people? Yeah, sure. To be honest with you, I would be interested," she said. "I'd be kind of fascinated, but it wouldn't emotionally affect me one way or the other."

Stewart went on to recall her time working on the hit movies, explained that she had an amazing time but didn't want it to last forever.

"I was so genuinely, heavily entrenched in [Twilight], and not in a way that felt like an obligation. Even though after the first one, which stood alone, it lasted a long time," she said.

"It's hard to speak to a five-year period in a few sentences, but I loved doing it. But that doesn't mean I want to keep doing it."

Stewart's next film, action comedy American Ultra with Jesse Eisenberg, is due out in UK cinemas on 28 August.
