Golden Globes hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler have gifted their many fans with the first look at their new movie, Sisters.

The US comedians play two siblings who decide to throw an epic house party before moving out of their childhood home in the film, due in cinemas next Christmas.

Maya Rudolph, Kate McKinnon and Rachel Dratch also feature in the comedy, penned by Saturday Night Live writer Paula Pell and directed by Pitch Perfect’s Jason Moore.

The 20-second teaser clip sees Fey and Poehler preparing for the big bash. The highlight comes when Poehler’s manicurist tells her she must be “older than her sister” because, simply “her face”. Understandably, the comment doesn’t go down well and the look on Poehler’s “older” face is priceless.

Fey and Poehler led the Globes for the third and final time on Sunday night, making a string of controversial jokes as promised.

The duo’s opening monologue included references to the recent hack on Sony Pictures, as well as the sexual assault allegations against comedian Bill Cosby.

“Good evening and welcome you bunch of despicable, spoilt, minimally-talented brats,” quipped Fey, in a nod to the leaked emails about Leonardo DiCaprio and Angelina Jolie.

Before the ceremony, Fey had said “Heck yes!” to the possibility of a Cosby gag. Risque jokes go hand and hand with the pair, hosting for their third and final time, after last year's stint involved the likes of "Now, like a supermodel's vagina, let's say hello to Leonardo DiCaprio".

Originally titled The Nest, Sisters will be released on 18 December 2015. This date means it will battle for box office success with no other than Star Wars: The Force Awakens. May the force be with them.
