After making award-winning short films, this writer-director from Hackney, who is influenced by American indie cinema, is shooting his first feature Spaceship in September. It's about a teenager who fakes her own alien abduction. He has just been named a UK Star of Tomorrow by Screen International. The former archaeology student "wants to make films which give people the courage to love themselves in all their weirdness".
