Trailer for final Daniel Craig James Bond film No Time To Die

The first trailer for Daniel Craig's final outing as James Bond, No Time to Die, has been released.

Featured in the first look at his first film since 2015’s Spectre are all the trademarks of a classic 007 film: an Aston Martin, sharp tuxedos and a big motorbike stunt.

Also starring in the trailer is Lea Seydoux, who returns as Dr Madeline Swann, and Ben Whishsaw (Q) and Naomie Harris (Eve Moneypenny).

New cast additions include Craig’s Knives Out co-star Ana de Armas, who’ll play Paloma, and Lashana Lynch, whose character Nomi will allegedly be introduced in the film as a “female version” of 007.

In the trailer, we learn she's a spy – but it still remains unclear whether or not she's been handed the code number "007".

It was revealed earlier this year that Christoph Waltz will reprise his role of Spectre character Blofeld in the 25th Bond film, alongside reigning Best Actor Oscar champion Rami Malek (Bohemian Rhapsody), who’ll play the primary villain, Safin.

The film will catch up with Bond, who must return to active service after a scientist is abducted by Safin for seemingly terrifying reasons.

"History isn't kind to men who play God," the spy can be heard telling Safin, although the villain's plans remain unclear.

No Time to Die has been directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga, who replaced Danny Boyle after the Trainspotting filmmaker stepped down due to “creative differences”.

Bond veterans Neal Purvis and Robert Wade wrote the script, with later additions made by Fukunaga, Scott Z Burns and Fleabag‘s Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

Aston Martin’s new hypercar – called the Valhalla and priced at £1.5m – will be one of three vehicles to appear in the new film.

It’s unknown who’ll replace Craig as Bond in the 26th outing, but among those expected to succeed him are Aidan Turner, Idris Elba and Tom Hiddleston.

According to Boyle, Robert Pattinson should be the next James Bond.

No Time to Die will be released in the UK on 3 April, 2020.
