Mission: Impossible Fallout - Official Trailer

There are few franchises that have received almost consistent praise, let alone had increasingly good reviews as more movies are released.

Mission: Impossible is one of those franchises, arguably going from strength to strength as each instalment reaches cinemas.

During the Super Bowl, the first trailer for Mission: Impossible Fallout was released, a two-minute clip debuting online soon after.

Tom Cruise can be seen doing multiple stunts, some of which made headlines last year. During one particular scene — which comes towards the end of the trailer — Cruise can be seen launching himself from one building to another.

As the actor revealed on the Graham Norton Show, that stunt actually led to a broken ankle. “I was chasing Henry and was meant to hit the side of the wall and pull myself over but the mistake was my foot hitting the wall,” he explained.

“I knew instantly my ankle was broken and I really didn’t want to do it again so just got up and carried on with the take. I said, ‘It’s broken. That’s a wrap. Take me to hospital’ and then everyone got on the phone and made their vacation arrangement.”

Alec Baldwin, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, Michelle Monaghan and Rebecca Ferguson all return for Mission: Impossible Fallout, joined by a moustachioed Henry Cavill, Angela Bassett, and Vanessa Kirby.

The film reaches cinemas 26 July, 2018.
