From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Migos have been a dominant force in hip-hop over the past couple of years, and now they're setting their sights on film.

Asked by Zane Lowe on Beats 1 what, if anything, they're concentrating on outside of music, Offset said: "Movies, movies."

Directing? Acting? Producing?

"All of it, as one," he continued. "My boy Quavo been writing the script, he out here really in the kitchen tryna whip up."

On the inspiration behind the film, Quavo jumped in: "I always been watching my favourite musicians doing movies - they used to do that a lot in the 90s. So, I’m a ’90s baby and all my favorite movies got all my dope artists in ’em.

"Juice, Menace II Society, All the Snoop Dogg movies, Master P movies, I Got the Hook-Up, Baller Blockin’ the Big Tymers movie... That’s what we’re doing right now; we’re looking into the script.”

Quavo, Offset and Takeoff are no strangers to acting, having starred in an episode of FX's award-winning Atlanta.
