To say superhero movies are a big deal in Hollywood is an understatement: every actor under the sun seems to have signed a multi-franchise comic-book based deal. Well, everyone apart from Jason Statham.
The Transporter actor, best known for his roles in crime films and rumoured to have been in the running to play The Punisher, recently lambasted the superhero genre, saying that his grandma could be a leading star in a Marvel film - she’d only need a green screen, some stunt doubles and cape.
Months later, on Conan show, fellow English actor Paul Bettany - who starred as the Vision in Avengers: Age of Ultron - has given his opinion on the Statham’s thoughts. Unsurprisingly, he was not impressed.
“I try and do as many of the stunts as I can, myself, but there are times when it’s too dangerous or too tricky," he told the late-night show host. "Potentially [Statham] should think about investing in an acting double, you know what I’m saying.

The Iron Man actor went on to say he’d rather not run into Statham as he’s “very butch” and wouldn’t want to be beaten up, adding he’d bring a stunt double along with him.
