According to The Hollywood Reporter, Millie Bobby Brown, who plays the Stranger Things character in the Netflix show, has signed on for the upcoming sequel to Gareth Edward’s Godzilla.
Titled Godzilla: King of the Monsters, the film will be the third part in the giant monster cinematic universe, which includes this year’s Kong: Skull Island, out 10 March. Michael Dougherty, who previously helmed Krampus, will direct the sequel.
Brown previously appeared in TV shows such as Once Upon a Time and Grey's Anatomy but has yet to leap onto the big screen.
Following her success on Stranger Things, reports circulated claiming Brown can expect upwards of £3 million per film. How much Legendary has paid for her Godzilla role is unknown.
Last year, Brown was named IMDB’s most searched for “breakout” actor, beating the likes of Haley Bennett, Tom Holland, and Brie Larson.
