Not only are we getting the arrival of Finding Dory, but another of the studio's classic line of short films to accompany it; with Pixar currently prepping to release the six-minute short Piper, revealing a tantalising glimpse at its astonishing animation work.
No surprise - it's ridiculously cute. The kind of cuteness that causes physical pain, as the short clip sees a small sandpiper hatchling bouncing around with its parents, playing with bubbles along the sand. As the synopsis explains, the young bird will soon discover that finding food without its mother's aid isn't such an easy task.
The short is directed by Alan Barillaro, who has a long history with the company; having worked as an animator on A Bug's Life back in 1998, he most recently served as supervising animator on Brave.
Other exciting news arriving from camp Pixar is the revelation that Finding Dory will feature Disney's first transgender character, as revealed by the film's star Ellen DeGeneres.
Finding Dory hits UK cinemas on 29 July.
