Captain America: Civil War is gearing up to be one of Marvel’s greatest films yet, with reaction from both test audiences and James Gunn having been very positive.

It also looks set to be the studio's longest film to date, as ComicBookMovie are reporting the superhero blockbuster will clock in at two hours 26 minutes, three minutes longer than Avengers.

Of course, Civil War does have to fit in more Avengers than the Avengers actually did, with Captain America, Iron Man, Black Widow, Falcon, Winter Soldier, Ant-Man, Scarlett Witch, Vision, War Machine, Hawkeye and Black Panther all set to appear.

In comparison, DC’s very own superhero brawler Batman v Superman will actually be longer, racking in at two hours 31 minutes. If you’re both a Marvel and DC fan, then this summer expect to spend almost five hours of your life in the cinema, and that's not including X-Men: Apocalypse.

In other superhero news, JK Simmons has signed on to play Commissioner Gordon in the upcoming Justice League film, while Disney star Zendaya will feature in the Spider-Man reboot.
