Bridget Jones's Baby: first footage of Renée Zellweger and Colin Firth in third movie
We've been given our first look at everyone's favourite singleton, back in action for the long-awaited threequel
"She's back and she's going to be bigger than ever!"
Poking fun at the fact Zellweger didn't gain weight for the third outing as her beloved Bridget Jones character; the first tease of footage primes us for that long-awaited pregnancy, which forms the central focus of this new outing.
The upcoming film, titled Bridget Jones’s Baby, was shot in London last year. Colin Firth will reprise his role as Mark Darcy, with Patrick Dempsey aboard as love rival Mark Qwant; as Zellweger's perpetual singleton must discover which of the two men is father to her unborn child. A fact not even the cast and crew know of, as three different endings were filmed in a bid to avoid potential plot leaks.
Hugh Grant, meanwhile, has not been pitched to return. The film will be based on the columns author Helen Fielding wrote for The Independent between 2005 and 2006.
Bridget Jones's' Baby hits UK cinemas 16 September.
