From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

The full-length trailer for Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie has been released starring Eddy, Patsy and a string of celebrities from the world of fashion and entertainment.

Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley's big-screen version of their BBC sitcom is edging ever nearer and this trailer provides more intel on what fans can expect from the film.

Still as debauched as ever, the fashionistas head to "London's biggest fashion event of the year" in order to sign up Kate Moss when they hear the model's "changing PR." Instead of signing her up, however, it seems Edina accidentally bumps her into the River Thames.

Heading to the French Riviera - "we're in the south of France, everyone's a criminal!" - the duo hatches a plan in order to live the high life once again.

As listed in the 60 previously confirmed cameo appearances, the two-minute trailer shows off Stella McCartney, Lily Cole, Emma Bunton and Game of Thrones' Gwendoline Christie. Not confirmed, however, was Jon Hamm who has history with Patsy.

Original cast members June Whitfield, Julia Sawalha and Jane Horrocks can also be seen reprising their memorable roles as Eddy's mother, daughter, and PA.

The film - released on 1 July - was written singlehandedly by Saunders.
