The sails creak, the timbers shiver and from a becalmed sea a shipful of grotesques stare back with wild grins. This is the extraordinary exterior from behind which Benchtours theatre company combine crude humour and crude politics, shooting down politicians, religion, self-help therapy, war, the media and rapist husbands.
