Your support makes all the difference.Jack Whitehall was crowned King of Comedy at last night’s British Comedy Awards, beating Graham Norton, Alan Carr, David Mitchell, Lee Mack and Sarah Millican to win the award.
The comedian also won Best TV Comedy Actor for his performance as public school 'lad' JP in Channel 4’s Fresh Meat.
The comedian was the only nominee to pick up two gongs at the awards last night.
The Graham Norton Show was recognised as Best Comedy Entertainment Programme, while Alan Carr won Best Comedy Entertainment Personality for his show Chatty Man.
Jo Brand’s BBC Four comedy Getting On won Best Sitcom, with ITV2’s Plebs picking up the Best New Comedy Programme award.
Paul Whitehouse collected the first award of the night as he and long-time collaborator Harry Enfield picked up the prize for Best Sketch Show for Harry & Paul.
Alan Partridge comedian Steve Coogan was also recognised with an Outstanding Achievement award.
