Who's reading whom

Eleanor Bron whose first novel, Double Take, has just been published, is transfixed by an unusual love story

I'm immersed in Doris Lessing's new novel, Love Again (Cape), which I'm recording as an audiobook. I've read it three times to get the dialogue right, and I still find it intriguing. It examines the sexual arousal of a woman in her mid-sixties who has inadvertently fallen in love and is written in an extremely detailed, honest way. It's as though Lessing is chopping down the jungle of sexual prejudice around the notion of older people having sex - in that respect alone, it's exhilarating to read. I have also just finished reading a collection of Lorrie Moore's short stories, Self Help (Faber).
