The Exhibition Road Music Day on Sunday brings free sounds to the institutions of South Kensington, from South American Baroque at the Victoria and Albert Museum to a junk band extravaganza at the Science Museum (exhibitionroadmusicday.org). In the US, the annual Utah Arts Festival in Salt Lake City is on from Thursday to Sunday. Features include a school of rock, writing workshops, spoken word, film and music (uaf.org).

The All Nations Festival in Berlin on 4 July lets visitors go behind the scenes at the city's embassies, from Kenya to Kyrgystan. Each participating diplomatic mission will be displaying their national headdress, along with a programme of cultural events (allnationsfestival. de). In Malaysian Borneo, the annual Sarawak World Music Festival starts on 10 July, with performers converging at a cultural village to play for three days (rainforestmusic- borneo.com).
