THE LOOK AND FEEL

The 57 bedroom-hotel's Edwardian heritage is celebrated in the oak panelling, creaking staircases, flock wallpaper, ornately sculptured ceilings and gilt-framed pictures. Heavy drapes combine with contemporary furnishings in bedrooms and silver service reigns in the fine dining Oak Room. The ambience is one of relaxed luxury with a formal twist.

THE FACILITIES

Staff are attentive, friendly and as charming as the Grade II-listed building itself. Enjoy a cosy fireside read or woodland walks with wellington boots by the front door for wet days. There's a small gym, multi-sports court and yoga and even a gym-in-a-bag, which enables guests to exercise in their room.
