Novak Djokovic has won his fourth Wimbledon title today after he beat Kevin Anderson in the men’s singles final.

Both finalists played record-breaking, energy-sapping five-set semi-finals to reach the tournament's finale. But Anderson's six-hour-36-minute duel with John Isner at least finished on the day it started on Friday.

Djokovic's thriller against long-time rival Rafael Nadal lasted a mere five hours 15 minutes, but only three sets of that could be completed before the Wimbledon curfew at 11 pm on Friday, and the pair had to come back on Saturday to finish off before the women's final.

But the Serb had enough in the tank to see off the South African in three sets.

Anderson holds serve and there murmurs that this set might actually get competitive.

What could these two be talking about? I doubt it's about Anderson's 27 unforced errors, or is it? How good would it be to see these two have a game on Centre Court. No? Just me? Okay...

Really tidy play from Djokovic who finds the tightest angle with a backhand shot gliding along the line. He takes the game without dropping a point and will look to break Anderson to stop his momentum.

A superb rally sees both men fly around the court producing shots worthy of winning, but they keep coming back. Anderson takes a 30-0 lead and follows it with an ace. Just as it looks like he is about to take the game, he hits a backhand out and Djokovic will try and claw his way back....no he won't, because Anderson has served another ace.
