From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. The tee times for the final day at The Open have been moved forward by around an hour to avoid bad weather conditions, which are due to hit Northern Ireland's Royal Portrush course late in the evening.

The final group, which is currently set to be made up of Shane Lowry and Tommy Fleetwood as they lead the way on -13 and -12 respectively, will take to the course at 1:47pm on Sunday afternoon.

The tee-off is an hour earlier than last year's final round at Carnoustie, and two hours earlier than when Lowry and JB Holmes started their third round on Saturday.

"Sunday tee times have been moved forward due to the adverse weather forecast," tournament organisers the R&A tweeted.

"The first tee time will be at 7:32am with the leaders beginning their final round at 1:47pm."

It is the second time this year that the final round of a major has been affected by weather, following the early finish to The Masters last April when Tiger Woods secured his 15th career major victory.

On that occasion, heavy thunderstorms expected in the afternoon lead to organisers deciding on a two-tee start and threesomes instead of pairings, though players will remain in twos at The Open and it has been decided that there is enough time for all groups to tee off from the first hole as planned.

13th hole

What a start to the back nine from Ryan Fox (-2) he goes, par, birdie, birdie can he replicate his record breaking 29? Probably not he bogeys the par-3 13th.

17th hole

Francesco's saved his best round for last, he's one hole from home but makes birdie on the seventeenth. No drop shots today from the defending champion means he's moved to (-3).

3rd hole

Unexpected birdie from Patrick Reed, he misses the green to the right off the tee but chips in to got to (-5). Justin Thomas (-5) also makes birdie just a more orthodox one.

7th hole

Tom Lewis' (-5) day gets even better, a four on the seventh gives him another birdie.

Michael Jones21 July 2019 12:49

It's getting quite blustery, just in time for the leaders to tee off. I think the golf this afternoon will be a lot different to that which we've seen this morning.

18th hole

Molinari (-3) reaches the front tip of the green as he plays his second in the last. He gets a great round of applause as he approaches. Two putts for a par, the flag is at the back today so he's still a way off.

Michael Jones21 July 2019 12:56

1st hole

Henrik Stenson (-6) and Jordan Speith (-7) both probably too far back to challenge for the Claret Jug but close enough to keep the pressure on, head onto the first tee. Stenson goes off first as the rain steadily comes down, he finds the right side of the fairway. Spieth sends his ball into the wind coming in from the right but it doesn't hold up and finishes way right of the fairway.

18th hole

A finishing 66 from the defending champion Francesco Molinari, he ends his Open Championship at 3-under par. Frankie will be disappointed that he didn't challenge more for the lead this week but a bogey-free final round with three birdies and an eagle will make him feel a lot better about his performance this week.

Michael Jones21 July 2019 13:02

4th hole

Justin Thomas (-6) moves to 6-under with back-to-back birdies on three and four. He'll want a low score today to finish his Open on a high.

1st hole

Stenson (-6) sends his second over to the left of the green and finds the long grass over there. Depending on the lie he may be able to get it up and down for par.

Michael Jones21 July 2019 13:05

1st hole

Tony Finau (-7) zipped up in a weather proof jacket sends his drive down the left hand side and finds the rough. His partner John Rahm (-7) in just a jumper, brings out the driver and gives it a welly, he orders it to 'sit down' but it finds the bunker.

On the green Stenson (-5) plays a decent chip into the hole from the left but a poor putt gives him a bogey start.

Michael Jones21 July 2019 13:10

5th hole

JT you beauty!, Over on the fifth Justin Thomas plays a chip into the green from over near the shelter, he uses the hill to the side of the green and rolls to ball off it to within a few inches. A tap in putt gives him three birdies in three holes to move to (-7).

1st hole

The Englishman are coming! Lee Westwood (-8) heads on to the first tee, he's playing with Danny Willett (-7) today, both men need really low scores today if they're going to make a charge for the Claret Jug.

Michael Jones21 July 2019 13:15

1st hole

John Rahm (-7) leaves his second shot in the bunker and is now looking at a double bogey on the first.

10th hole

Scotland's Robert MacIntyre (-5) makes another birdie on the tenth, his third for the round without a bogey as well.

Michael Jones21 July 2019 13:17

1st hole

Willett (-7) and Westwood (-8) tee off. Danny finds the second cut over to the left side of the fairway with Westwood hitting his driver arrow straight down the middle.

11th hole

Dustin Johnson (evs) had an horrendous finish to the front nine with three consecutive bogeys putting him 2-over for the day. He stops the rot over the turn with two pars on ten and eleven.
