At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

Manchester United have money to spend - and have already signed Victor Lindelof - but may be forced to shell out as much as £70m for both Alvaro Morata and Andrea Belotti as they chase a new No.9 while Chelsea's main man, Diego Costa, looks to be on his way after being told he is surplus to requirements by manager Antonio Conte.
Manchester City already have two players with Monaco's Bernardo Silva and Benfica goalkeeper Ederson in through the door, while Arsenal have snapped up Schalke's Sead Kolasinac on a free.
Liverpool are closing in on a deal for Mohamed Salah as they continue to negotiate with Roma over a fee but won't be adding Virgil van Dijk after being forced to apologise to Southampton for an illegal approach.

James Rodriguez has been told to consider leaving Real Madrid by his national team coach, Jose Pekerman.
That news will undoubtedly please both Chelsea and Manchester United, who have been scouting the forward for several weeks now.

David Ospina’s expected transfer to Fenerbache looks as though it is about to fall through – that’s according to the Turkish press at least.
Ospina has once again struggled for game time this season, with Arsene Wenger picking Petr Cech for the bulk of Arsenals Premier League matches.
The Frenchman had given Ospina his blessing to leave, but now ASpor is reporting that the deal is on the verge of collapse because Arsenal upped their asking price at the final hour.
Fenerbache are also in talks with Malaga’s Carlos Kameni and may now decide to press ahead with his signature instead, leaving Ospina in transfer limbo.
The agent of Marco Verratti has admitted that his client will find it “complicated” to quit PSG this summer, despite expressing a desire to leave.
“It's very complicated [to leave], but we have expressed our ideas to PSG. We're not talking about Barcelona or other clubs, it's about projects,” Di Campli told Sky Italia.
“I think I represent a champion and clearly I have questions. To be a champion you have to win.
“If PSG don't want to sell him, despite offers from all over Europe, then we'd have to examine our consciences in Italy.”
Barcelona have been heavily linked with the Italian, as have Chelsea and Bayern Munich.

More on the difficulties of a Marco Verratti transfer from the Independent's Sport Editor, Ed Malyon:
Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham has put talks over his future on hold until after Euro 2017.
The 19-year-old is currently in Poland with England Under-21s and preparing for Friday's opening Group A game against Sweden.
Newcastle and Brighton are reportedly keen to take him on loan after he scored 26 goals for Bristol City in a successful loan spell in the Sky Bet Championship last season.
But Abraham is willing to wait until after the European Championship to decide his next move.
“As far as I am aware, yeah,” he said, when asked if his future was still open. “I haven't spoken with Chelsea yet. I am focusing on this tournament so the discussions will happen after.
“I'm not too sure (about his future). Hopefully it will be in the Premier League.
“After this season I need to take myself to the next level. That's the type of person I am, I always want to do better. I always want to do more. So going into the new season my aim will be to top this one.”
Our Chief Football Writer Miguel Delaney has an update on the David de Gea transfer situation and, despite Real Madrid still retaining some hope of signing the goalkeeper, it is understood that Manchester United are increasingly confident that the Spain international will remain at the club.
Although there had been widespread reports in Spanish media during the past week that Real had cooled their interest, and that the Champions League winners’ squad had persuaded manager Zinedine Zidane to stick with Keylor Navas, some sources close to the Bernabeu feel they could yet try and leverage negotiations with United by asking for the goalkeeper to be included in any deal.
United however remain hopeful that will not be the case, and are still standing firm that De Gea is not going anywhere.
Manchester United's deal for Torino striker Andrea Belotti looks to have hit the skids.
The Serie A club are completely unwilling to accept an offer lower than the 23-year-old striker’s £84m buy-out clause, and United are themselves unwilling to go that high.
Manchester United are also looking to bolster their midfield ahead of the new season, with a number of names in the frame.
The club are interested in the possibility of sabotaging Chelsea’s pursuit of Tiemoue Bakayoko, although they prefer his Monaco team-mate, Fabinho.
If they can’t persuade Monaco to sell they will likely turn their attentions towards Nemanja Matic and Eric Dier, although both Chelsea and Tottenham will prove resistant to selling to a Premier League rival.
Chris Smalling has reportedly dropped his agent amid speculation of a summer transfer out of Manchester United.
The defender has switched to Omnisports having been previously represented by Wasserman Media. Smalling was unveiled by his new agent on Twitter while on England duty.
The centre-back has been linked with a move to Arsenal and Everton after United agreed a £30.7m transfer fee for Victor Lindelof from Benfica.
