Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp is considering a move for former Arsenal striker Eduardo da Silva.

The 31-year-old has been in Brazil with the Croatian World Cup squad and is available on a free after reaching the end of a four-year stint with Shakhtar Donetsk.

A host of other clubs are also interested in the former Gunner, with Stoke City and West Ham believed to be interested in the Brazilian-born striker, as well as Lazio and Fenerbahce.

Eduardo scored 13 goals for Shakhtar last season as the club won the title yet again - they were champions every year Eduardo was there.

Under Arsene Wenger Eduardo scored 21 goals in 67 matches but his time in north London was hampered by injury trouble.

He suffered a terrible leg break in February 2008 which ruled him out for almost 18 months, but never regained his form and was sold.

QPR are also being linked with moves for former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand and Cardiff City's Steven Caulker.
