'It's madness' - Postecoglou fumes as Tottenham lose to Bournemouth

Rangers earned a 1-1 draw with Premier League opposition as they and Tottenham played out a thrilling Europa League clash on former Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou’s return to Ibrox.

A frantic end-to-end encounter saw Hamza Igamane give Gers the lead early in the second half but Postecoglou’s subs made the difference and Dejan Kulusevski finished off a lovely team move for the equaliser 15 minutes from time.

It means both teams are right on the cusp of an all-important top eight spot that would put them straight into the last 16 of the competition with two crucial group stage matches remaining in the New Year.

The draw does mean that Spurs have now only won one game from their last eight and the pressure on Postecoglou won’t have lessened too much after this result, although there were some positive signs from the English outfit.

Diomande frees Jefte down the left and he whips the cross in but Forster is able to claim it. Then, down the other end, great link-up between the subs Kulusevski and Solanke heading and flicking the ball to each other befoer Tavernier just gets a foot in to flick it away.

This game is still open and there could eb a goal for either side.

Solanke sends Kulusevski to the byline and Jefte has to bundle the ball out for a corner. A foul in the box from a Spurs player as the corner comes in ends the threat though.

Given the way both teams have approached this game, you’d think they’ll be going all out for the win now.

Rangers freshen things up after the equaliser as goalscorer Hamza Igamane is taken off, shortly after going down with cramp or a slight injury and Ridvan Yilmaz also exits with Cyriel Dessers and Robbie Fraser coming on

GOAL! Rangers 1-1 Tottenham (Dejan Kulusevski, 75 mins)

Slightly out of nowhere but Spurs are level! They’re very patient at the back, playing the ball around for over a minute before attacking down the right.

Great link-up as Kulusevski eventually finds Solanke in the area, he plays the ball back across and Kulusevski has continued the run, meaning he’s able to stroke home with a reverse first-time shot from the edge of the box. Lovely, lovely move.

Bergvall comes forward but loses control of the ball and stamps on Raskin’s foot as he tries to flick it away. Yellow card for the Spurs midfielder - a bit harsh to be honest.

Spurs corner calmly dealt with by Rangers and as Ridvan surges clear on the counter, Dragusin clatters into him to sto him in his tracks on halfway. Yellow card for the Spurs centre-back.

A Rangers double change as Cerny and Bajrami are taken off, with Dujon Sterling and Connor Barron entering the fray.

SAVE! Rangers 1-0 Tottenham, 66 mins

Decent stop by the legs of Butland as Porro shoots at his near post. Good strength by the Rangers keeper, although it’s a stop you expect him to make.

The free-kick is towards the left of the area right on the edge - it’s a short free-kick o Kulusevski who touches it back to Maddison but his curled shot is over the bar as Rangers players rushed out of the ball. They were trying to create a more central angle but only succeeded in giving themselves less time to take the shot.

Rangers have got themselves in a position to win this match, can they now see it out?

Bergvall’s first touch is to half-volley a bouncing ball over the bar from just outside the area before Spurs win a free-kick right on the edge of the box as Raskin’s heavy touch allows Maddison to nip in and he’s clattered by the Rangers man.
