From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Leicester City 2-2 Middlesbrough

Liverpool 2-0 Sunderland

Swansea City 5-4 Crystal Palace

GOAL (2 MINS)

The visitors have took the lead here, with Sakho getting his name on the scoresheet with a headed finish, just two minutes into the fixture. That's his first Premier Leauge goal of the season and what a time to get it.

Mourinho's men now have a job to do and how they react to this early goal will be vital.

SOUTHAMPTON VS EVERTON

It's been a resilient response from Everton, but Southampton look equally ready to double their tally. Koeman's men need to step it up to regain momentum from the early goal.

Everton are struggling to find their feet, as the pace of the Southampton strikeforce continues to unsettle them defensively.

24 MINS

It's a half hearted attempt from Austin, that could have easily doubled the tally for the home side. It's a weak side footed strike into the path of Stekelenburg.

26 MINS

Everton finally get a sight at goal and it's by far their best chance of the game so far. Coleman is in the box and he drags the ball back, but it falls to Gana who sends it high over the bar.

28 MINS

Southampton are head and shoulders above their opponents at the moment. It's been a very disciplined performance so far by the home side and they've simply outplayed Koeman's men.

30 MINS

An Everton throw in finds Baines, but the delivery into the box isn't what the strikers desired. It falls deep and behind the blue shirts in the box. With players with such aerial presence, such as Lukaku, in the box - they should be doing better there.

MANCHESTER UNITED 1 - 1 WEST HAM

GOAL

The hosts have equalised, as Pogba assists Ibrahimovic, who heads it home. Game on!

33 MINS

An Everton free kick into the danger zone finds the head of Barry at the far post, but it's a poor header from close range as he fails to even hit the target. Southampton need to tighten up at the back, as Barry was somewhat unmarked at the far post.

37 MINS

Lukaku leads an Everton attack but he is sandwiched between two Southampton shirts and looses possession. The Toffees have a throw in.
