66: Ashley Young takes the free kick and almost replicates his goal against Watford. His curling effort sails narrowly wide of Alex McCathy's right post.
71: Anthony Martial gets into the box and tries to find Juan Mata but Southampton clear. Shane Long tries to break forward but Nemanja Matic pulls him down and collects a yellow card.
74: Dusan Tadic works his way into the box and has space to cross but he decides he'll have another go at taking on the defence. Why do players do that? Anyway, United deal with the danger and win a goal kick.
76: Sofiane Boufal finds time and space on the edge of the area to roll the ball to Shane Long who waits in a central area and swings a foot at it but his shot has no real conviction.
Owen Hargreaves on BT Sport: "We desperately need a goal to up the tempo."
79: Shane Long will not get his goal today, he's replaced by Manolo Gabbiadini.
80: James Ward-Prowse is the fourth Southampton player into the book. He receives a card for a high tackle on Jesse Lingard.
81: The ball is in the back of the net for Manchester United but the flag is up. A cross falls to Paul Pogba at the back post, he prods it in but from an offside position and Southampton survive. Meanwhile Dusan Tadic is replaced by Mario Lemina.
