From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. Manchester United and Adidas originals have launched a retro collection, inspired by the club's 1985 FA Cup win.

United defeated Everton 1-0 in that final at Wembley 30 years ago, and the striking new range includes a replica jersey, tracksuits and even a bucket hat.

Norman Whiteside scored the only goal of the game against Everton, scoring in the 110th minute with a delightful curling left-footed effort (watch below).

League leaders United take on Arsenal this weekend in a crucial Premier League clash this weekend. Midfielder Morgan Scnheiderlin, who signed for the club for £25m from Southampton this summer, says United must make "a statement" against the Gunners at the Emirates Stadium. United go into the game in good form, after beating Wolfsburg in the Champions League on Wednesday.

“I am looking forward to the game, very much so, because the Emirates is a great stadium and they are a good team,” the Frenchman told MUTV.

“I think Arsenal will be there competing for the title until the end and it is up to us to make a statement on Sunday. Last year they had a good result against United in the FA Cup and we had a good result against them in the league, so we know we can win this game and it is going to be a battle. We want to make a statement and show everyone that we deserve to be in first place.”
