Manchester United succumbed to their second defeat on the trot after being beaten 2-0 at home by visitors Burnley.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had been hoping to see a response from his side after the defeat at Anfield, but his men put in a woeful performance as the Clarets picked up all three points.

Chris Wood opened the scoring six minutes before the break before Jay Rodriguez added Burnley’s second on 56 minutes.

The result leaves United six points off Champions League football while Burnley are now seven clear of the relegation zone.
