Premier League weekend round-up

Sergio Aguero scored his 13th Manchester City hat-trick as the champions thrashed Huddersfield 6-1 at the Etihad Stadium.

Gabriel Jesus and David Silva also struck and Terence Kongolo turned into his own net in a one-sided Premier League encounter.

Huddersfield's only moment of joy came just before half-time when Jon Gorenc Stankovic netted following a long throw-in.

What time does it start?

Manchester City vs. Huddersfield Town kicks off at 1:30PM (BST)

Where can I watch it?

The match will be shown live on Sky Sports’ Main Event and Premier League channels. Sky Sports subscribers can stream the match online via SkyGo and the SkyGo app.

Highlights will be available at 10:30PM on BBC One.

It’s a big game for…

Terence Kongolo: The Dutchman was in impressive form against Chelsea, and will need to be at his commanding best again if his team are to have any chance of stopping the plethora of attacking options at Pep Guardiola’s disposal. The 24-year-old signed on a permanent deal from Monaco in the summer, having spent the second half of last season on loan with the Terriers.

Stat…

4: Manchester City have failed to score in their last four home league encounters with Sunday’sopponents. The reigning champions have never gone five consecutive home league games without scoring against a single opponent in their history.

Remember when…

The two sides faced each other seven times in Division One 1996-2000, and this winner from Rob Edwards in the 1997/98 season secured the first of two wins for the Terriers at Maine Road in as many seasons. The 18-pass move was finished in style when Edwards, a boyhood City fan, met Dave Phillips’ cross at the back post and volleyed it past City keeper Martyn Margetson.

Player to watch…

Bernardo Silva: The 24-year-old Portuguese played a rather peripheral role for Manchester City last season but his goal against Arsenal confirmed his desire to establish himself as a more permanent fixture this term. The potential long-term injury to Kevin de Bruyne will enhance his chances of doing so in a more central positon, where he starred against both Arsenal and Chelsea.

Huddersfield were the only team to stop Manchester City from scoring at the Etihad last season.

They also conceded less against the Blues than any other side in the Prem.

Can they repeat the feat this time around?

Meanwhile, 30 miles north of Manchester, Burnley host Watford with both hoping to build on positive starts.

The Clarets drew 0-0 with Southampton on the opening day and progressed to the final round of Europa League qualifiers on Thursday while Watford defeated Brighton 2-0 last Saturday.

But, the Hornets have not won at Turf Moor since a 3-2 victory in the second tier in April 2004.

Can Javi Gracia's men change that record?
