But that breath-taking 3-0 win over City has resulted in Jürgen Klopp resting a number of key players including top scorer Mohamed Salah, with one eye on Tuesday’s second leg at the Etihad Stadium. Danny Ings and Dominic Solanke both start for the Reds, while Nathaniel Clyne makes his first appearance of the season.
Everton meanwhile are at full strength for the derby, with Cenk Tosun leading the attack and Wayne Rooney, Yannick Bolasie and Theo Walcott also starting, but local boy Dominic Calvert-Lewis is named on the bench,

What time does it start?
Everton vs Liverpool kicks off at 12:30 BST on Saturday 7 April.
Where can I watch it?
The match will be shown live on Sky Sports Premier League and Sky Sports Main Event from 11:30 BST.
60' - We've just had the first real derby flash-point and it involved Seamus Coleman and Danny Ings.
The TV replays appeared to suggest Ings called Coleman a "diving b******" before the pair squared up.
Wouldn't be a derby without a bit of handbags, would it?
67' - A bit scrappy this second half - and when I say a bit, I mean a lot.
We're yet to have a single shot - on or off target - from either side since the pause.
70' - Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain almost has an instant impact as he picks up the ball on the half-way line, skips past Morgan Schneiderlin and shoots over the crossbar from 25 yards out.
Not a great strike by any means but that was a lovely driving run by the Ox to create the shooting opportunity.
77' - Chance!
Leighton Baines exhanges a one-two with Tom Davies on the edge of the area before whipping a superb low cross into the box. However, the stretching Cenk Tosun can't quite stretch far enough to turn the ball home and the attack fizzles out.
Best move of the second half, that.
