At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Merseyside derby kicks off a busy day of Premier League action that could end with Manchester City lifting the title, but first all eyes will be on Goodison Park as Everton host Liverpool with the Reds coming off their incredible Champions League victory in midweek.

But that breath-taking 3-0 win over City has resulted in Jürgen Klopp resting a number of key players including top scorer Mohamed Salah, with one eye on Tuesday’s second leg at the Etihad Stadium. Danny Ings and Dominic Solanke both start for the Reds, while Nathaniel Clyne makes his first appearance of the season.

Everton meanwhile are at full strength for the derby, with Cenk Tosun leading the attack and Wayne Rooney, Yannick Bolasie and Theo Walcott also starting, but local boy Dominic Calvert-Lewis is named on the bench,

What time does it start?

Everton vs Liverpool kicks off at 12:30 BST on Saturday 7 April.

Where can I watch it?

The match will be shown live on Sky Sports Premier League and Sky Sports Main Event from 11:30 BST.

29' - Jordan Pickford produces another superb save as he tips James Milner's top corner-bound curler behind for a corner.

It's been the battle of the goalkeepers so far in this first half.

34' - Wayne Rooney can count himself lucky not to have been booked there.

The Everton man just ploughed into Dominic Solanke on the half-way line after losing possession and it's difficult to see why Michael Oliver didn't brandish a yellow card.

40' - Not too much has happened in the last few minutes.

Jordan Pickford is my man of the match so far after a couple of superb saves, first from Dominic Solanke and second from James Milner.

44' - Liverpool's Sadio Mane picks the ball up in a really good position just outside the Everton penalty area but the forward wastes the opening as he sends a poorly-struck shot well off target.

Very wasteful.

Half-time - Everton 0-0 Liverpool

Michael Oliver brings an end to the opening period and we're goalless at the break.

46' - We are back underway at Goodison Park!

Liam Corless7 April 2018 13:31

50' - Liverpool have really upped the tempo at the start of this second half.

They've had a few good moments down the right involving Nathaniel Clyne and Danny Ings but haven't been able to create a real clear-cut chance.

Liam Corless7 April 2018 13:37

56' - Dejan Lovren's through ball finds James Milner in a really threatening position but the midfielder spurns a good crossing chance as he sends the ball straight behind for a goal-kick.

Liam Corless7 April 2018 13:43

57' - Sam Allardyce makes his first substitution of the match as he replaces Wayne Rooney with Idrissa Gueye.

The camera pans to a frustrated Rooney on the bench, clearly mouthing something about bulls and faeces.

He's not a happy bunny.
